Meet Our Pack Leaders.
Michelle has nearly a decade of media and public relations experience. Her work as a reporter earned her an Idaho Press Club award for a story she covered on Humane Society dogs being trained by prisoners. Most recently, she worked as a public relations and marketing executive at a San Diego digital marketing agency, where she helped promote and launch other companies. She also has extensive experience in video production, media training, social media and Web design. Michelle and her husband adopted their dog Bogart and cat Cody from local shelters and rescue houses. Through volunteering as a dog buddy at a local Humane Society, Michelle has learned how to train, manage and care for shelter pets. She also regularly participates in community events and fundraisers with local shelters. For more on Michelle’s work, MichelleMarieBrubaker.com
As a broadcast journalist working all over the country for more than a decade, Nina always gravitated to the “animal” stories. Her love of pets started early. As a child growing-up in Southern California, Nina regularly adopted strays in the neighborhood, much to the dismay of her parents. Today, Nina lives with her husband and two dogs, Indy, a very energetic Border Collie, and Lola, a miniature Australian Shepherd rescued in 2008 from San Diego’s Shelter Pet Partners. In addition to her work as a broadcast journalist, Nina has extensive experience in public relations, marketing and video production. In her spare time, she volunteers at a local Humane Society and enjoys time with her furry kids. For more on Nina's work, NJTMedia.com.
